Creating a Warm and Welcoming Living Space with Curtains & Roman Blinds

We were over the moon to get the opportunity to collaborate with Ciara who is the face behind the Instagram account Our Wee Self Build. Ciara, her husband and two children moved into their self-build almost three years ago. 

Ciara’s interior design style is quite traditional and when planning her interiors she wanted to make her home warm and welcoming. She loves to entertain guests and create special memories with her family and loved ones so her interior design style was based around this.

Like every family home, the kitchen is the heart of it. Therefore, Ciara and her husband spent a lot of time planning the layout and interiors. They wanted to create a warm and inviting space ensuring that it was both a practical space for raising a young family and also an enjoyable space for adults to relax and unwind. 

Ciara discovered Material World through Instagram and found the content we post truly inspiring. She loved what she saw which encouraged her to visit our website. Ciara made a list of the samples she liked and placed her order.  We delivered the order straight to her door which allowed Ciara to see the fabrics and braids come to life. 

Ciara especially liked the Dorset Herringbone Grey fabric and Cream Beaded braid. She thought they worked well together and complemented the interiors in her kitchen. Ciara decided that she would like curtains and braids in this fabric.

As you can see from the finished result Ciara has a great eye for detail. The curtains and blinds were the perfect finishing touch for the warm and welcoming environment that Ciara set out to achieve.
