Embracing Warm Neutrals with Susan from Room by Room Dublin

Digital Creator Susan who owns the Instagram account Room by Room Dublin chats to us about the addition of a Roman blind to her sitting room and how it transformed this area. 

Here at Material World, we were honoured to collaborate with Digital Creator Susan who you will know from Instagram as Room by Room Dublin.

Susan purchased her home two and a half years ago and it required a full renovation. Susan has always had a huge passion for interior design which made the process of renovating all the more interesting to her.

Susan chose to collaborate with us for her sitting room. Susan originally had a Venetian Blind on the window in this room but she felt that it wasn’t letting in enough light. She chose a Roman Blind to dress this window as it can be pulled all the way up to the top in the daytime ensuring that the room is filled with light and closed tight in the evening time to ensure the room is warm and cosy. 

Susan generally chooses warm neutrals when it comes to planning the interiors of her home. She loves how they create a soft and cosy atmosphere. She prefers a neutral backdrop so that she can add patterns such as the braid that she chose for her Roman Blind. 

Susan visited us in-store and brought her colour samples with her which made it all the more easier when choosing fabric and braid samples for her Roman Blind. Susan took the sample's home and shortly after made her decision. Susan chose the Marela Herringbone  Cream fabric for the Roman Blind and added the Milano Natural braid. 

Susan wanted something really luxurious to finish off this room and she feels that we really delivered on that.
