French Countryside Roman Blinds with Peggy Sues Country Home
We were over the moon to get the opportunity to collaborate with Katrina who you will know from Instagram as Peggy Sues Country Home.
Katrina lives with her husband and three children. Katrina and her husband built their home in 2015 and are slowly getting around to decorating it.
Katrina has always been interested in interior design, so she was very excited to design her own home.
Katrina creates mood boards for each room when she is planning her interiors for it.
We collaborated with Katrina on her bedroom where she has a French countryside theme. She chose a beautiful shade of green for the walls, Katrina wanted a darker shade on her walls but was worried that it would be too dark as it is a north-facing room.
Katrina decided to brighten the room by choosing Roman blinds in the fabric Oslo Cream Taupe Plain fabric and Bordeaux Cream braid. This fabric has a beautiful shimmer in it which catches the light and the braid complements this fabric perfectly.
Katrina discovered Material World through Instagram and when speaking to friends who had previously got blinds from us they highly recommended us for blinds or curtains. This feedback encouraged Katrina to work with us.
Katrina found the process of working with us seamless. She could browse our fabrics and order samples directly from her own home. This was a very important factor for her as she is a busy mother and nurse so she was able to contact us when best suited her.
As Katrina works nights picking fabric was very important to her as she sleeps during the day. All of our Roman blinds come with blackout lining ensuring that no light can get through when the blinds are closed.
Katrina’s top tip when planning her window dressing was to create a mood board. Katrina knew she wanted a dark room so she placed the colour of the room, and the different fabric and braid samples she ordered on the mood board to see which worked best.
